Border rules for European Championship

Switzerland and Austria are going to be on the tip of everyone's tounge soon. Why? The European Football Championship is being held and shared between these two alpine nations. However here's sopmething you should know. Fritz Kraft, director of tourism for the wondersul alpine city of Innsbruck, Austria, tells me that during the championships, which by the way take place between the 7th and 29th of June this year, there will be a special check for all travelling to the games. The secret Tirol

I wrote this in reply to the first comment by a reader asking about spring skiing in Austria.
I can tell you that there is year round skiing in much of Austria. If you are visiting Innsbruck for example you can ski the glacier at Stubai Valley a bus ride away. There is also year round skiing in Hintertux and Kaprun in each case it is glacier skiing.

Springtime in Austria

Does anyone know if there is still skiing in the Austrian resorts. Is there summer skiing? I am really looking forward to visiting Austria at this time and most of our holiday will not be for skiing. Hoever it would not be bad to get a little skiing in, would it? We (my wife and I) plan on visiting the Tirol and Salzburg. Unfortunately we cannot see Vienna during this trip.
